One of the main guidelines that impregnates and justifies this study cycle, has to do with the values adopted in the field of Special Educational Needs and Special Education. The same are based on an humanistic approach, which reflects a recent historical position and refuses exclusionary practices and segregation of people in the most vulnerable situations, among which are those with disabilities.
The educational system must contribute to the democratization of society, in various dimensions, being one of the most relevant: the guarantee of the right to equal opportunities for all.

Meeting in Special Education – Itineraries for an Inclusive Education

On 19, 20 and 21 November 2015 the "Meeting in Special Education – Itineraries for an Inclusive Education" was held in IPBeja having a programme that integrated a number of well known key speakers and mobilized 150 participants.
This event was supported by FCT and accredited by the Educational Scientific Council for Continuing Education Training (CCPFC/ACC-84336/15).
The evaluation carried out, among the participants, highlighted the excellent level of the meeting programme and the organization, as well as its important contribution for the professional education.
