The Master’s Degree in Agronomy has the following objectives:
Ensure sustainable agricultural production, based on technical itineraries adjusted to different crops, including precision agriculture, in order to obtain quality products with good organoleptic characteristics and high profitability for the farmer; Preserve and promote soil fertility in the long term and avoid pollution of water, soil and air; Promote the rationalization of irrigation water through its efficient management and use of good quality water; raise awareness towards protecting the health of farmers and consumers, through the supply of agricultural products obtained with reduced use of chemical synthesis products; Recognize that harvest and post-harvest treatments are very important for the preservation of product quality, with regard to the harvest season or the preservation and processing methods used; Knowledge of laws on product control, certification, labelling and marketing.
